Saturday 12 June 2021 the route of B- roads, bridges, Bristol and the Beautiful Wye Valley

Determined to let our Garmins not rule the roost . Have named them Glenda (Hisham’s) and Gloria (mine) . Must be going mad already and it’s only day 6 of trip 🤪. Needless to say , the 2 G’s played up for half a kilometre taking us down some footpath before hitting the true route. After that they were as sweet as babies – until we arrived at the perimeter roads of Bristol . Reverted back to “u turn” and “off course”. Route took us through the middle of Bristol which I fortunately knew quite well. Quick phone call to Woody when I noticed we were at the end of his road but unfortunately he was working on call at the hospital.

Had a little detour around an industrial estate in Chepstow before hitting the glorious Wye Valley which was all down hill…. BECAUSE….

Hisham admiring Tintern Abbey

……. once we turned off to Coleford and Greenacres campsite it was essentially UPHILL for 2.5 km (not nice at the end of 90 km 🤦‍♂️)

Support team have done us proud today
