This is what cycling is all about . An absolutely beatiful day (the rain did not appear this far north) with scenery to give away your last crumble and custard for. Mind you , we had to work for it , taking in 2 major climbs before lunch and one about 15 km from campsite at end (by which time our legs were a bit “shot”).
Minor flashback to Piu Major in Mallorca Tricamp.( peddle , peddle, drink, peddle, drink, take on board some calories, peddle some more, enjoy the view 😂😂😂 while you’re doing all that )

Can just about see the 3 Yorkshire peaks
Say it as it is 🤣

Another halfway lunchstop with the support team in Kirkby Lonsdale by the Devil’s Bridge where there is an inscription that reads “no one must jump from here unless they have reasonable cause for doing so” 🤷‍♂️

Route was smattered with viaducts which also featured in the route the ladies took in the vans (they had decided against the minor roads /tracks up into the hills- Bessie might have complained a bit but I’m sure she’d have got up ok)

Arrived at the Farm campsite in good time and glad for another rest day tomorrow. A beautiful spot to have it at, I must say.

View from Bessie’s window

After a sumptuous meal of salmon , new potstoes, broccoli, courgettes with a touch of creme freche (couldn’t write a blog without SOME food description 🤣), a short RECOVERY WALK up ewe fell occured 🤦‍♂️

Sunset over the campsite- good night
