It wasn’t so bad as expected having been told that this section is the β€œdullest” of the route. I would describe it as consisting of 4 parts: Beautiful Cheshire/ Leigh and Bolton/ the A6 with cycle lane / rolling Lancashire hills around Blackburn

Hisham and I have become experts at identifying the types/ causation/ intricacies and possible variations of potholes. Early ride discussions on this topic have almost been worthy of a PhD thesis .

Plenty of Bridges , motorways and canals today πŸ‘ (although we resisted becoming β€œthose foolish ones” who end up being on the news for cycling up motorways .

Lunch break on one of the plentiful corners around Bolton was enjoyed

Arrived at Clitheroe campsite to the historical effigies relating to the Lancashire witches / Pendleton witches – ten people executed on 1612 on the moors around Lancaster for alleged causation of misdemeanours

Support team continues to be fantastic keeping the peloton well fed , watered and with clean kit πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ₯°

Big day of climbing tomorrow with preparatory carb loading on local pub with brother and sister in law who are holidaying near here this week. A good evening had.

Oops ! I’ve fallen off my chair πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£
