It wasn’t so bad as expected having been told that this section is the “dullest” of the route. I would describe it as consisting of 4 parts: Beautiful Cheshire/ Leigh and Bolton/ the A6 with cycle lane / rolling Lancashire hills around Blackburn

Hisham and I have become experts at identifying the types/ causation/ intricacies and possible variations of potholes. Early ride discussions on this topic have almost been worthy of a PhD thesis .

Plenty of Bridges , motorways and canals today 👍 (although we resisted becoming “those foolish ones” who end up being on the news for cycling up motorways .
