Good to have a rest day again . Really feel it in the legs today as witnessed by the gentle 3 mile flat recovery walk along the Eden Viaducts trail in Kirkby Stephen. Walking up slight inclines was energy sapping in the lower limbs! Obviously need to eat more ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

A dramatic railway line opened in 1861 built by Sir Thomas Bouch to carry coal and coke across the Pennines- the โStainmore Lineโ.

Had a late lunch at the Mulberry Cafe in Kirkby Stephen watching the world go by – so good to be able to do that again
Was totally humbled by chatting to a lady of 61 yrs at the campsite today who is cycling LEJOG by herself on a 3 speed Brompton bike with her Scottie terrier โcrossโ sitting in the basket at the front as well as carrying all her kit (tent etc). She aims to do it in 5 and a half weeks – started 28 May- and does around 15-30 miles a day (apparently with a lot of walking up the hills according to her). What an experience she is having . Chapeau to her !
