Wednesday 23 June 2021 – LEJOG- over the bridge and on into the hills

Written by:

A misty damp start to the day quickly turned into another dry, warm, glorious ride. Hills becoming longer but a little shallower so much more suited to my style of cycling – slower, turning the pedals while looking around at the scenery .

Just about got all 3 bridges in

A circuitous route around Dunfermline , passed by Bessie the bus en route (waved to support team , of course) to another valley to cycle through (with a gentle uphill, as usual)

Hit by the potent scent of pine needles as we cycled through forest lined hills although did notice a fair amount of logging / deforestation going on

More and more highland cattle appearing – they are soooo cute πŸ₯°

A Halfway house (after 62km) lunch stop at a farm shop near Dunning

and on we went across the river Tay.

Another great ride. Steak Ciabatta sandwich with 2 fried eggs for supper followed by handpicked strawberries (by Carol and Jill) from the farm shop. Delicious.
