Slept like a log that had not slept for days – late breakfast 9 ish and a general mooch around all morning

Cool box had stopped working last night – had got a bit wet on the outside from the night before and suspect electrics damp (see below)

All 4 (sorry , 5, how could I forget Tessa) of us drove into Nairn and wandered along beach, through Fishertown and into Nairn proper

Saw the rowing club go out –

Had a spontaneous haircut – lighter load gets you up the hills faster🤣🚴‍♀️

Very kind lady barber charged me for over 65’s rate ( after I had chatted and said I was retired……or did I look that exhausted??) and then when I wanted to pay the extra £2.50 she said “ och, pay it into your charity fund… I assume you’re cycling for charity ?). So WPCC , an extra £2.50 from the lady barber in Nairn 🤩

Went back to the beach for a Panini and Milkshake (Hisham NEVER orders a milkshake- apparently)

Then back to campsite to tackle the cool box (Carol had bought new 3 Amp fuse). Changed fuse . Nope. Took lid off. Wet underneath. Took cover off electrics – still water in there.
Tried cigarettes lighter connection (in Hisham’s van as Bessie doesn’t have one). WORKS ! Took circuit box connected to mains lead out and turned over – Ooops- burned out bit!! Needs soldering iron / ….. Actually …. Needs new box 🤪

Then the final bike clean / wash/ relube/ check gears/ check brakes for the FINAL 2 Days in the saddle 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
